Can you provide an Interpreter for a consultation.

It is vital that we can take instructions accurately from a client. If a client is unable to speak or understand english to an acceptable extent then we ask that a friend or spouse who has competent english skills would come to the consultation to help out. If this cannot be done then a professional Interpreter can be arranged. We are referred cases by the Refugee Legal Services division of the Legal Aid Board. If your consultation is one which is associated with a Refugee Legal Services referral then an interpreter will often be arranged free of charge. If not then a charge will apply for this service. Please check with us in advance if you need assistance in this way.

What should I bring when I visit my Solicitor on an Immigration matter?

Please bring your entire file. For your consultation to be as useful as possible please bring all correspondence re your existing or past residency in Ireland. Please bring your passport including expired identity documents. Please bring some proofs of address.

What should I do if I cannot attend a consultation?

If you find you cannot attend a booked appointment please contact us as soon as possible so we can reschedule. Call Emma on 0n 021-4905627.

What happens at the first consultation?

At a first consultation Mr Stanley will assess your Immigration enquiry and offer some advice on how best to resolve the issues you are facing. If you wish to instruct Stanley and Co. Solicitors to assist you then a clear explanation of what work is to be carried out will be given along with an estimate of what fees and outlays would be required to complete such instructions*.
There is of course no obligation whatsoever on you to instruct us if following the initial consultation you decide not to continue with us. No obligation. No hard feelings.
If you have an immigration file then of course you should bring it with you to your meeting with Mr Stanley. The more information you can provide in relation to your immigration history the better the position Mr Stanley will be in to assist you.

*In contentious business, a solicitor may not calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement. This statement is made in compliance with regulation 8 of the S.I. 518 of 2002.

Do we act as agents for Immigration brokers?

Sorry, we don't do this kind of work. We have been contacted by numerous companies from overseas recently asking whether we would do business with them in relation to their clients who had immigration difficulties. We ONLY deal with clients individually and never do business with agencies. The client deserves the best possible experience and our relationships with the client are always one on one , no middlemen ever.

I need advice on going to the US or Canada or Australia?

Sorry we can only advise those who wish to come to Ireland and do not advise people who wish to emigrate to countries outside of the EU such as Australia or Canada. The best of luck to you though, send us a card.
